The Benefits of a Clean House: Health, Clutter and The Mind

Updated: Jul 9, 2023

It’s a fact: cleaning your home is good for your health and mental wellbeing. With the right approach, you can create an efficient and effective system that will make cleaning your house more enjoyable. In this post, we'll go through some reasons why it's worth investing in a well-organised cleaning routine.

Cleaning is a real workout for your body

Cleaning your home is a great way to get in some exercise. In fact, you can burn up to 300 calories an hour just by cleaning! In addition to helping you lose weight and feel better about yourself, regular cleaning will also improve your health by reducing blood pressure and stress levels.

The Benefits of a Clean House: Health, Clutter and The Mind

You may think that cleaning is a chore. But let's take a look at some of the benefits of cleaning.

Cleaning is an investment in your health

Cleaning can help you sleep better, feel more relaxed and less stressed, feel more in control of your life, and even feel more energetic! When change is needed, it's hard to make that change happen—but when there are benefits like these waiting for you on the other side? You might be more willing to get started on those dirty dishes after all!

A clean house is an organised home

A clean home is a tidy mind. A clean home is a healthy home. A clean home is a safe home. A clean home is a happy home!

Cleanliness and organisation go hand in hand, so if you want your house or apartment to be organised, start by cleaning it first! When was the last time you vacuumed? Or dusted? Or washed your windows? These simple tasks can make all the difference between an unorganised mess and an organised space where things don't get lost behind the sofa cushions or under furniture—or even just hidden away in remote corners of rooms because they're too hard to find otherwise!

If you need motivation to clean, remember all the great benefits it can have!

In addition to the obvious benefits of a clean home, cleaning can do a lot for your health and well-being.

  • Cleaning can help you sleep better. The act of tidying up and organising your space helps clear negative thoughts from your mind and allows you to relax so that you can fall asleep easier.

  • Cleaning is an investment in your health! When dust mites invade our homes, they trigger allergies that lead to colds and illness. Dust also contains mould spores which are toxic when inhaled over long periods of time—and dangerous for anyone with asthma or other respiratory issues. Plus, if you have pets at home (or have kids who play outside), pet dander will build up over time and cause allergic reactions like sneezing attacks or runny noses when pets shed their fur indoors onto surfaces such as couches or bedding—something I know all too well from my own experience with cats (pets). Keeping surfaces free of pet hair will help prevent these kinds of symptoms from developing in the first place!

The benefits of cleaning for your health and mental well-being are endless. Cleaning, as many people know, can be a stressful activity that can take up a lot of time. However, by doing the right things in the right way, cleaning can actually be beneficial to your health and well-being!
